i don't even remember my last post.
I'm engaged to Mandi, and love her more than anything. Real life has gripped ahold of me and not let go, basically, and i've quit really using the internet for more than an information source in the mornings and evenings. I've made some brackets, at least! I work hard, and I'm doing fairly well for myself.
Now, it's time to go again. There are many other ways to contact me, if you wish.

ok, quick update. i have two jobs, and mandi has received a second job offer that she may or may not take. i also found some poker games around here when i have $30-50 to blow that might be fairly profitable. other than that, i should have the internet again in a couple of weeks, i think.
ttyl.
ttyl.
yeah man! i've moved (to austin, for the uninformed)!
i've got some pictures, but mandi will post those when we get the internet.
the deal so far is, we've got no internet, but antenna tv gives us pretty good channels. got elec/water, and the a/c is great. Mandi got a job at the dollar store, she starts this week, while i've got to go talk to some more people and apply for 2-3 more jobs this afternoon. Hopefully Blockbuster calls me back though, because i definitely deserve an easy job like that.
I'd be working on some other jobs via the internet, but gmail is down! wtf!!! either mail me through myspace, or i'll check thealamackAThotmail.com eventually. i need a small buy-in single/multi table holdem tournament here baaaad, gotta get my bankroll up! :)
i'll have more to talk about, but as for now i have to go down to the post office and apply. pz.

damn.
got to the last two of us, and he has to raise and reraise like a fucking nut on a tree.
at one point i had him at my 212k vs his 98k but blew that on the next hand like a momo.
i'm going to get a good headsup strategy soon enough, but for now i tried my ass off.
so there it was.
my Qs8s.
he calls my big blind.
i go all in, he matches.
with Tc2d
flop comes 8c2h5d, i say whew...
then...
Td

F U C K.
oh well, i dont claim bad beats, i just analyze and learn...apparently its working, i won $10 on a freeroll, 2nd out of 273 entrants!

so, today was the first time i tried playing two tables at once on purpose seriously, as opposed to entering a 2nd freeroll just because i was falling behind in chips on the first, or because i wanted to try some crazy new strategy. before i knew it, i was so hot on the 2nd table that i fell a bit behind in my 1st! fucked off some money in my 1st there for a bit, and felt the tilt coming on, but alas, all i had to do was look at my chiplead on the 2nd tournament and switch over, then it all went away! i think two at a time is the way to go from now on.
As for the results, I was pretty above-average in chips on the 2nd tournament, and staying average in the 1st, when some big stack entered my table in the 2nd and immediately goes all in. I had paired J on the flop, but there was a K on the board as well, and that's when he made his move. Dumb me, gonna call this guy for a sucker, when he had me fucked three ways from sunday! Oh well, then i turned that off and went back to the first tournament.
In the first, I go from above average, to average, to below once it gets down to 22 players. I played it tight, stole some blinds to keep up the ante, and stayed in until the final table. Table gets down to 6 players, and I get handed a low pocket pair in the small blind. I call, then get raised all-in, and call that. Fuck this, man, I gotta get the cash now...so...long story short:
me: 33
him: KQo
flop: TA6 rainbow, then...
4...
J!
bastard river!! but, sweet part is, i won $2.50 in 6th for zero dollars and zero cents. I will win it all soon enough, especially if i multitable like this more often, my time will definitely come. Every fall I have out of a tournament teaches me something, and this is no different...although here, i didn't mind how i played. Coulda backed down, but just thinking about it now, I dont even know if i'm recalling the hand history correctly! I'll have to leave the window open for a bit next time, eh?

three freerolls today:
30th out of 412
18th out of 392
10th out of 330 (stupid me thinking they're bluffing me again!)
most of my losses today were to try and "beat the bluff" heads up on a hand vs the biggest stack, and losing. oh well! took my two cashes and blew em on playing a six handed game that i got 3rd in cuz i did...pretty much the same thing. oh well, live and learn! i can feel that i'm definitely getting better each time though, so i don't care about using the cash on a real money short hand game.
mandi says:: And as long as he listens to me, he wins!
play with me "exclusively" at pitbull poker. lol, just wanted to say that!
